Fresh News and Coming Up
March 2017--Photographer/filmmaker and adventurer Bjorn Olson just made me a book trailer for my forthcoming novel, pH. It includes some lovely shots of the Homer Spit, Kachemak Bay, and the life and beauty we live with here in Alaska. Please take a look! (It's only 1-minute long--just a teaser.) The book will be out in September from Graphic Arts/Alaska Northwest Books, and pre-orders are being taken now (at Amazon and elsewhere.) Let your local bookstore know to advance order it!
June 1 and 2, 2017. I'll be at Book Expo in New York City for a stage event and signing of pH.
June 9 - 13, 2017. Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference in Homer, Alaska. Jane Smiley is our keynote! I'll be presenting workshops titled Short, Shorter, Shortest: How Many Words Does It Take To Tell a Compelling Story? and The Art of Description.
June 14 -18, 2017. I'll be in Valdez, Alaska at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference as a playwright. My one-act, Hi Vista, 1984 will read be in the Play Lab.
